DOUGIE IS NOAH, HARRY IS ROSE AND TOM IS… A SWAN.

What better way to celebrate Valentines Day then by watching the McFly boys recreating your favourite scenes from romantic movies?

That’s what we thought, and so that’s exactly what we did when we caught up with them for a chat about all things love recently.

Sadly, Danny was ill and busy being nursed back to health somewhere *sob* but Tom, Harry and Dougie got WELL INTO the spirit of things, renacting Romeo and Juliet, The Notebook and Titanic – all with ‘sound effects’ and everything.

Although saying that, the last one turned into a bit of a ‘test Dougie on his Titanic knowledge’ game. Watch the video below and see for yourselves!

McFly have revealed that they are often pressured to get a spray tan – by TOWIE‘s Mario Falcone.

Lead singer Tom Fletcher – who is married to Mario’s sister Giovanna – says his brother-in-law always encourages him to go fake, but he’s yet to give in.

Talking to Digital Spy about beauty regimes, Tom’s infamous wedding video speech and their re-release of album, Memory Lane – The Greatest Hits, they said they often took the mickey out of Mario’s perma-tan.

VIDEO OF MCFLY'S INTERVIEW

On Tom’s wedding speech/song which went viral on YouTube, they joked: “It wasn’t even a real wedding. She was an actress. Tom just wanted to be a YouTube star.”

The 27-year-old said: “I only put it up to share with friends and family who couldn’t be there.”

In the video, Tom pays tribute to Harry as well as his other bandmates Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones.

He sings: “Thanks to my best men – you’re more like brothers, sometimes like lovers – but we won’t tell them about that.

“We’ve been together for what feels like forever. But I’d do it again and again. We’re only just getting started and I know McFly will never end.”

Speaking about spending NYE with Mario and the band, Tom said: “I got really emotional. Danny started whispering sweet stuff in my ear and I started crying!”

His gushing wedding speech video went viral and left girls millions of girls around the globe wanting the same treatment, but Tom Fletcher’s McFly bandmates have said they won’t try to compete with the heartthrob.

In an interview with MailOnline Harry Judd spoke out about the gesture and said: ‘We are all romantics but Tom, now that he’s done the wedding speech video, and he wrote all about you for
Giovanna for Valentine’s day there is no topping that really.’

Tom, whose video from his wedding in May last year has had more than eight million views on YouTube, tried to play down his song and said: ‘I feel like it’s easier me for me to that than it was to make a speech and I sing for a living it’s kind of like if a plumber doesn’t know about making speeches and he says “oh I’m going to do some plumbing for you.” Kind of like that.

The 27-year-old musician admitted the response to the video has been overwhelming.
He said: ‘The reaction did completely take me by surprise. It was a bit mental.’
‘It’s crazy people are still talking about it.’

Speaking about how he felt at the time, Tom admitted he was fighting emotions from getting the better of him on the big day.
He said:I was so nervous I wasn’t really paying attention, I was just trying to not cry throughout it. I was trying to get through it without making a mistake’.

McFLY – one of the biggest pop bands to come out of the UK – are set to play in Whitehaven.

Organisers of this year’s Whitehaven Festival have pulled off one of their biggest triumphs so far in the event’s 14-year history.

They’ve played to sell-out crowds of tens of thousands all over the world and on Friday, June 21, McFly will perform on Whitehaven’s harbourside.

The award-winning band will belt out hits such as Room On The 3rd Floor, Obviously, Five Colours in her Hair, All About You, Transylvania, Party Girl and Star Girl.

Tickets – priced £39.99 (no booking fee) – will be on sale from today (Thursday) and are expected to sell quickly. They are only available online from www.richardsonsofwhitehaven.co.uk

Chief festival organiser Gerard Richardson said there had been a lot of discussion before finally clinching the deal. “I’m delighted it’s come to fruition – we started negotiations last October. The more in demand a band are, the harder it is to get them. We took a real gamble but it paid off and shows good things are worth waiting for,” he said.

The multi-million-record selling band consists of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, who say they are looking forward to the up-close-and-personal gig. They told The Whitehaven News: “We are delighted to be able to add the Whitehaven Festival to our gigs this summer. We have never played West Cumbria but we know they like their music events up there and it’s always great to play a new gig.

“We will be doing all our greatest hits and it will be a great gig.”

As well as their outstanding pop success, individually they have also been hitting the headlines. Drummer Harry was voted the winner of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 and in the same year Dougie won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

This year the band are playing their Memory Lane: The Best Of Tour 2013 across the UK.

Copeland Council leader Elaine Woodburn said this week: “The festival continues to draw some fantastic musical talent to Whitehaven each year, and this year’s line-up is even better. The teenager in me cannot wait to welcome McFly to Whitehaven, and as much as I pretend this won’t happen, I know I’ll be at the front dancing along with everyone else!

“I congratulate the Whitehaven Festival team, once again, for their hard work and commitment, which has once again proved successful.”

The annual event’s main sponsors are Britain’s Energy Coast (BEC), Nuclear Management Partners (NMP) and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).

The McFly gig will be all-standing and there will be a support band on the night.

The harbourside arena will once again have a 2,000 capacity and this year, for the first time, the stage will face the sea.

Tickets for the festival’s Saturday night gig featuring Slade, The Sweet and Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam are also on sale from the same website.

When I think about retail today, a song by the band McFly comes to mind. The British “boy band” (italicised because they are actually all pretty accomplished, though disgracefully young musicians) recorded it a few years back, and you really can’t miss the message: “It’s all about you, it’s all about you, baby,” the refrain repeats, all the way to the closing line, “It’s all about you,” once again.

If you want to read the rest of the article (this was the only part that mention McFly):

Every tiny detail in St Kidd usually has a huge and very unnecessary back story. But it is those huge back stories that inspire us and keep our perverted little heads in the clouds. The main idea started many moons ago when I became obsessed with pirates….as you do. My friend who was tattooing me at the time told me that many of the stories I had been reading were more or less true, this furthered my boner for pirates...
